Final Fantasy XV is – well, of course – another installment for the Final Fantasy franchise. Here, we’ll assume the role of Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum – son of the King of Lucis, Regis Lucis Caelum. This game has been around for quite a while now and most of those who bought the game the moment it came out are actually finished with the main storyline. As regards with me, I haven’t finished the game yet – I’m at around chapter 8. So, what are the things that I can say about this game? Well, to be honest, this is the first game I played on the PS4 because this is what came with the console when I got it. Meaning, it was a combination of the vast and beautiful world of FFXV and my first time with the enhanced graphics of the console and other factors combined. Let’s start with the graphics, it’s pleasing to the eye, very vibrant, colourful and I could even say realistic in a certain sense. The problem is that the font size could use some enlargement – like an option to do so. Those with poor eyesight – like me – will have quite a hard time playing. Next is the battle system, the system is effective in terms of engaging the enemies, initiating battle sequence and hooking the player. One thing is that whenever you finish a battle, Noctis will like clean his hands and will stop you from controlling him for a few seconds – this is not a big deal, but when I’m in a hurry to get something or to move somewhere – this hinders me. For the world of FFXV, there’s nothing much to say because it’s vast and there’s a lot of places to go and explore whether you’re riding Regalia or a Chocobo. For the plot, at first – like every newly introduced story – it shows complication but then you’d gradually grasp the situation as you progress through the game. For the gimmicks, I like the thing about Prompto taking pictures, selfies, stolen shots, and groufies.  I guess that’s about what I can personally say about the game for the 8 chapters that I played.
